Hi Lei
You can only create IT 416 for an abs quota type that has an entl.balance. Otherwise you will have to enter the payment in IT 15.
If you set up the comp.meth with a blank quota type, it means that the IT 416 can be entered witth that method, where the user can select any abs quota rec that has a balance; the compens can be upto the no.of hrs/days withing the entl bal.
If you need, you can also see my posting re: comp.meth on this site.
On this website, after you login, at the top of the screen you can find the search area. You enter key words 'quota compens' and select 'toolbox IT' as the area to search. Thne press search.
Then open the post with title "Feature for Time Quota type field...IT0416". Open all the resonses under it. You can find my response on 7/24/2009 describing the config and how to use in entering IT 416.
