You can block the transaction (SM01)in case nobody needs it but it seems odd though that nobody should use it.

Unfortunately, you are in a jam. There is no way to remove it
automatically and has to be done manually. I know that doesn't help.
Tell your boss the time it is going to take so that he/she is aware.
