It sounds like you are looking for Long Term Planning which is the SAP version of what-if scenarios. The main transaction code is MS00 for the area menu. There are quite a few steps required to make it work though.
1. Create a scenario (MS31) Word of caution, do not include firm receipts.
2. copy active Ind. Reqs to inactive reqs for the scenario (MS64)
3. change the inactive reqs (MD62)
4. Run MRP (RMMRP010) for the plant or MS02 for one material
5. Use MS04 (like MD04) or MS07 (like MD07) to see the evaluations. __.____._
