You have to close the year 2008 first before you can open 2009.Also check the transaction OAAQ for the closed years in AA.
The program AJAB needs to run in back ground (please uncheck the Tes Mode'
Proactively, you can run the reports - AUVA (incomplete assets) and ABST/ABST2 (reconciliation AA->G/L).
