[sap-log-mm] How to Consume Plate Sheets or Pipes Ordered with Variable Sizes in KG Against a Production Order?

Question from LGracio on Oct 28 at 9:04 AM
We have the material D (plate or pipe) is purchased and stored in UoM Kg or sq mtrs. (Material D is raw material coded and described to thickness and material quality)
Lets assume the scenario :

1. BOM is A (10 EA) this will be produced as result of routing to cut parts and issued to the temporary storage with different serial numbers (SN A1 = 6 EA; SN A2 = 4 EA are the parts) in order to allow split on above demands in upper levels of other BOMs or PrdOrders. Is that possible to work?

2. BOM Components B & C so BOM A=B+C, which B & C are dummy or a phantom component that will become a SN A1 and SN A2 as a product of routing operation of prd order. The components of B & C are the mat code D with specific quantities in KG or SQR mtrs. Is this possible to work?

3. Metal steel sheet number is D measured in KG and managed in batches to allow GR and assign quantities received to a dimensional batch (Length x Width)

4. I want to produce part numbers A in only one prd order but will have different consumptions in levels above, is splited into two Serial numbers that will be defined or good issued when order is confirmed.

Someone can help me find a solution without fixing quantities on BOMs?

I would like to learn more about batches material usages, specifically when we have to deliver sheet metals stocked in kg and correspond to each of plates, where are required to issue from warehouse to a cutting center to produce different parts from same batch?

Appreciate your help.
