Also after doing what Hans suggested, make sure the SID of the DB is identical to the SID of the System.

Dear experts,
I am not able to bring my SAP server online after doing a database restore.
Environment:- SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4
DB:- MSSQL 2008
We have a PRD LIVE database which is working fine.
I also have a PRD dummy which was a copy of PRD live. But our Dummy PRD was not uptodate as the copy was done a long back.
Hence we restored our most recent PRD-LIVE Back up to make it upto date.
Before restoring it, I increased and made the size equal to our PRD-LIVE server.
Restore completed successfulley, but when I try to start SAP through SAP MMC, the Dispatcher gives and error and stops immidiately.
