I haven't done this in an ABAP system, but in a portal system you can do it. You need to set up the LDAP configuration by going to "System Administration -> System Configuration" from the portal home page and clicking the "LDAP Server" tab and filling in the required details. Then, in NetWeaver Administrator, go to "Configuration -> Authentication and Single Sign-On". Select the "ticket" policy on the "Authentication" tab. Then remove the SPNego login module from the list of Login Modules. There is probably a similar way of doing this in ABAP. I just don't know the details.

Subject: AD/ABAP authentication WITHOUT SSO.

I want to configure AD authentication for ABAP stacks in my environment. We do NOT want SSO. We want the password prompt to happen, but accept the AD password for authentication. Is there a clear path for this?
