Reply from dtrosen on Mar 21 at 11:58 AM Well incoterms include other "contractual obligations", so in this particular circumstance, we have a customer located in Germany and a plant in Germany .. the customer (ie. soldto) is more than happy to pay the freight accept customs terms etc for a Germany to Germany shipment BUT if the product is shipped from a plant in Malaysia, they do not want to have the same liabilities/terms/freight etc. and therefore, contractually, they want different incoterms. I find it hard to believe that other much larger, global companies don't have the same issue and that SAP does not supply a SAP solution for this situation ? Thoughts ? Dr.

We currently set our inco terms at the soldto. This value is copied to order/billing/shipping docs, etc. We now have a requirement to set the inco terms based on shipto AND ship from location. That is, if product ships from Malaysia plant (as opposed to EU plant) and the shipto is X, then the inco terms are different. I do not see a way in config to do this, yet I find it hard to believe that other SAP installations in much larger conglomerates don't have the same situation. Anyone else have the same requirement and have used standard SAP to implement? Thanks for ANY info / direction. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | In the Spotlight Become a blogger at Toolbox.com and share your expertise with the community.
