With the right account/permission you just issue the commands and log the replies.

There's a small risk, that each time you issue a shutdown/restart to a remote host, that it may not restart properly. If you have fancy PDUs you can use that to cycle the power and maybe get the box to restart but otherwise you have to have someone onsite to push buttons and wiggle wires. Plan for that eventuality before you turn the reboot jobs on. If you're 20 Km away from the boxes it's one thing but if you're 2000 Km away it's another.
The scheduler software is just the event initiator - it's the script that you create, which the scheduler will call, that will perform the restart commands.

Snowy, thanks for the reply. We have a full version of CRONACLE. Do you have any procedures for scheduling remote OS reboots?
