Reply from sapnomad on Oct 20 at 3:46 PM Some MRP jobs run every hour, some twice a day, some daily. The main driver is to have MRP be finished by a certain time, not start at a certain time. In other words, want MRP results by the time an MRP planner is ready to look at them. Anyway, I got a response from SAP and will close ticket. SAP writes: "I understand the scenario, however, this is a technical limitation of the application. Two plannings running in parallel for the same plant would cause lock issues and several inconsistencies. "

This is quite surprising. I have an MRP run for raw materials scheduled at 4 am that takes a few hours. I also have another MRP job that needs to run as close as possible to 6 am for same plant. That first job often runs long and the second job aborts. I shouldn't be forced to have to reschedule either job. Anybody have solutions or further perspectives on this?
