Question from JosephC on Aug 2 at 11:59 AM So here's the challenge: I have a piece of equipment that was migrated with history so it has multiple usage periods with the current one valid to 12/31/9999. I discover a installation period was missed in the loading of its history. I want to go back and "insert" the usage history by performing a dismantle/install with the valid from date as the beginning of the missed period. Standard SAP gives a hard error. It seems the logic of an insertion is the same as a new installation. SAP segments the period and performs an update to 2 records in the standard process. In a new dismantle/install, the current record is segmented with the valid to date changing from 12/31/9999 to the new install data and a usage period is created with the new 12/31/9999. For my requirement, a third update would be required where the prior valid to date and the later valid from date would need to be updated. Has anyone solved this issue or found a work around? | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
