Question from Joeykool on Aug 19 at 10:59 PM I have been challenging my IS team in procurement that I should be allowed to change the delivery date in my PO without a revision to my PO output. I believe the system is configured wrong since when I change the statistical date in a PO, no release strategy is required. My understanding is that the statistical date is the contractual legal date. And the delivery date is the MRP relevant internal date They told me that we cannot change this since they do not want to allow buyers to change that date without a printout and release strategy. So when a vendor is late on his delivery all my MD06 planning dates fall in past. They (legal department) say when you change delivery date it outputs a new po with that date stating a mutual agreement of this new date which in reality he is late to his original contract. Legal department disagreed and stopped buyers from providing correct delayed date in that field. So now buyers are not allowed to change that date if vendor is late. I am not sure what default setting IS changed that has caused this. it is difficult to understand since the statistical date can be changed without a release strategy, but the output on the PO does not show that change of statistical date which I believe is the contractual date while the delivery date is the mrp relevant date. I need help to convince my IS team since planning has 1000s of lines date in the past across various vendors. After reading the help menu on statistical date, I would like to propose the team to go back to the standard release strategy where you can change the MRP relevant date without triggering a release strategy for a new printout. PO dates are changing daily . This way they can use the expedite report to manage dates Thanks in advance | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
