(I know only a little bit of ABAP) Since my initial question, I totally changed my mind, and now I use the FM 'RS_COMPARE_WORDS_SIMILAR' : It does not what I was asking for, but it can tell me whether the two words are identical, or very similar, or poorly similar, or different. And it satisfied my need. Once again, thank you Horacio!
