Thanks!
I have one more question. I was reading on changability indicator and my IS has set this as 1 but should be 6? Since this is triggering a revision to the PO when buyer changes the "delivery date " once vendor is late and sending new output to vendor . Legal department stopped buyers from doing that since this would be a mutual agreement if the PO revision is released to the vendor. Now MRP expeditors are sitting with 300 lines date in the past and only a phone call to the buyer is MRP able to get and actual delivery date. 1st receipt ds and 2nd receipt ds has rendered it useless in MD06 this legal issue. My thought as a supply chain manager . I would only output new revision to vendor if we change the " statistical date" Which is the original mutual agreed contract date. Set changability indicator to 6 so we get no revision change to PO. Is there any PO template that we might be using wrong? Or something that will indicate in the output that the vendor is late on the contract date when he provides to the buyer the new delayed delivery dates?

Regards,
Joe Khouri

Subject: Debate Concerning Strategy of Statistical Date and Delivery Date

I have been challenging my IS team that I need to change the delivery date on my Po to communicate to planning the delays we are having from the vendor. I believe this is a standard expeditin function for buyers.

IS has set up the system as below:
They claim this is standard SAP :
"As requested, I have checked if the print –relevant setting for Request Delivery date (EKET-EINDT) is standard in BT.
Below is the setting in the customizing in VCM.
• The requested delivery date (EKET-EINDT) is set as print relevant (tick box P)
• The statistical delivery date (EKET-SINDT) is not relevant for print out
By checking the SAP change records, this setting is the original default SAP setting and no one in has changed this before.
For the SAP standard setting, the statistical delivery date change does not trigger the new version/ PO print out. "

Please help since when I read the help menu below in SAP, I cannot understand the settings to be correct
