of SU24. If that is not maintained correctly, you will not get the right
values in the roles. Unfortunately there is no magic bullet to fix this -
this is why you test and test and test.
Make sure to make all your fixes by maintaining SU24, as that will help you
avoid the same errors occurring in multiple roles.
If you are not certain how to do this, I suggest you get someone to train
you for half a day so you understand exactly how this works. A worthwhile
investment!

It is not always that simple.
First SAP cannot give you all field values as some are configuration
dependent.
Then field values may depend upon what functions you wish to permit,
e.g. planning or settlement in projects or costing can use the same
transaction but have different authorisation values for different
permitted functions.
SAP will also not propose user specified organisation units as does not
know them - e.g. company and plant.
Some transactions will require different objects depending upon
configuration and functions used, e.g. HR Costing
It is the job of the security analyst to resolve these security settings. |
