Hi,

Prerequisites :

You can download the current time zone data to keep the time zone information in your SAP system (in Customizing in particular) up to date.

Solution :

Uploading time zone data into your SAP System.
Execute TZCUSTIM in order to upload the time zone data into your system. The program requires the data (tzdata.dat) to be stored locally on your PC. Please fill in the relevant path name of the file (for example C:\TEST\TZDATA.DAT).
Checking time zone data for inconsistencies.
Execute TZONECHECK to check whether your time zone data is correct. The system prompts you to enter the client and language in which the test is to be run. Remember that time zone data is client-dependent, meaning that all steps in this document have to be executed for every single client.
The program now checks whether your data is correct.
A red traffic light will appear in case of inconsistencies which should be checked and corrected.
A yellow traffic light indicates minor inconsistencies, which does not have a direct impact on the system.
All corrections of detected inconsistency needs to be done manually.

Setting the system time zone and default time zone
Use transaction STZAC in order to set the system time zone and the default time zone.
Setting the user time zone
Maintain your user data by using the SU01 transaction. The time zone data is located on the Defaults tab. If the field contains no value, the default time zone mentioned in step 3 is used.
In order to activate the time zone, log on to the system and check your local time via the Status option in the System menu.
If the SAP-System does not present correct local times normally the settings in the operating system are inconsistent. Use either the report TZCUSTDISP or TZCUSTHELP to find the reasons.

You can use the report TZCUSTIM to import this data into the system (the data is available in the standard SAP system as of SAP Basis 6.20).
When you use the report TZCUSTIM, note that the Customizing data is changed directly on the database, that is, the previous status can no longer be restored if required. Customer time zones and daylight saving time are not affected by this, however: they are not overwritten or deleted.
You should also ensure that the time zone data is maintained in all clients that are used (if necessary also in client 000) to avoid time differences or errors due to time calculations.
