Reply from Sunnyboy on Dec 15 at 2:05 PM If your WM warehouse is HU managed it will work as described above. During the 311 you will get a IBD which you will pack on HU's and assign serial numbers.
If you have a WM warehouse with SU's (and so no HU's) I would say you are NOT able to assign serial numbers to the SU (because a SU is not a HU)

Can someone explain the steps to maintaining serial number at the bin level within SAP WM? SAP explains that you can create handling unit and handling unit can be viewed so that it can tell what serial number is at the bin level but SAP documentation is very minimal. I understand in EWM serial number at the bin level is out of the box but we are using SAP WM.
Do I create an inbound delivery document or create Handling unit via HU02 or what are the steps? |
