Our receiving location is not WM managed, we do 311 and move the material from receiving to WM enabled storage location. How would this all work, will it still carry the HU? Does the HU turn into SU and SUM needs to be turned on?

Can someone explain the steps to maintaining serial number at the bin level within SAP WM? SAP explains that you can create handling unit and handling unit can be viewed so that it can tell what serial number is at the bin level but SAP documentation is very minimal. I understand in EWM serial number at the bin level is out of the box but we are using SAP WM.
Do I create an inbound delivery document or create Handling unit via HU02 or what are the steps? |
