2. The amount of depreciation that is taken upon disposal is determined by the period control. Check to see what the settings are under your depreciation key

I am retiring an asset by scrapping. What is the T-code that I need to use--ABAVN? When I simulate this particular disposal (using ABVN), it is not considering the current year's depreciation.
Asset Cost: $136,650.00
Prior yr deprec = 95484.82
Current yr deprec = 15436.94
ABAVN Simulation results:
CR Asset of 136,650
DR Acc Depr 95,484.82
Dr Gain/Loss 41,165

The book value of the asset is 25K (rounded). And I would expect to see the 25K hitting the Gain/Loss account. However, only prior year's depreciation will be posted to the Gain/Loss, leaving a 41K loss instead of the 25K.
Any ideas why this is happening? |
