Reply from EMO6619 on Oct 9 at 8:09 AM I think someone suggested this already but to have no financial impact create a new storage location in the same plant, mark the SLoc as non MRP relevant in material master, do a material to material movement to the new SLoc. MRP for the rest of the plant will not consider the rework inventory in it's calculation. The other option is to move the material in it's present SLoc to blocked stock, MRP will not consider blocked stock. Earl F. Moynihan, CSCP

The scenario I really am trying to solve is we purchased material and several thousand pieces need to be returned to the supplier for remediation ( GR and Payment have already been made and no credit will be given) I am trying to figure out how to move the inventory out of the MRP calculation temporarily without any financial impact. It will help determine how soon we will need the remediated parts back on site. Obviously, once the material is returned, I will need to put it back into inventory, again I don't want any financial impact. Our company is in its infancy as far as using MRP within SAP *Cheryl A Lantz* Senior Buyer | High Companies | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | In the Spotlight Become a blogger at Toolbox.com and share your expertise with the community.
