Reply from MikeLomman on Aug 2 at 11:43 PM Good Afternoon, The meters are for utilities. The output must be in a specified format in an Excel spreadsheet as it goes to a third party. Perhaps an industry specific plug in is the easiest way to go. The data is merely utility meter readings. To reduce input errors I suggested we use a data scanner, have a bar code for each meter, enter the readings into the scanner and upload that data file to the software and output the required excel sheet. I shall investigate an add on. Kind Regards Mike LOMMAN

You could use SAP ERP CS module for customer and equipment based transactions for SAP CRM you can use the Service function to capture that information. The decision on whether to use SAP ERP CS or SAP CRM, depends on how strong your data related to the logistics or front facing customer activities. if the operational basis takes strong planning on logistics for servicing e.g. stock in service van, third party goods reservation, etc, SAP CS may be more suitable for your requirement. but please note that SAP CS has very weak integration to SAP CRM, therefore some info may require heavy custom development to be viewable in the SAP CRM. if it is related to simple logistics but heavy customer interaction which is mainly for B2C business, you may want to use SAP CRM to capture that information. You also may want to find industry specific add on e.g. utilities if it is related to electricity/water/gas meter reading and billing | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
