It is not a technical issue. You can assign any transaction with any
other transaction. It is a SOX/SOD issue. If you must have these two
transactions in the same role for the same person you need to come up with
a mitigating control so that audit both internal and external do not have a
finding against you. I hope that helps.

This is not a technical problem but a policy one. I assume that the
basis team perform a segregation of duties analysis and this combination
brings a conflict based on the rules configured by your organisation. Your
internal policy prevents the assignment, this is (probably) not a technical
restriction. Speak to the risk / ruleset owner (potentially an internal
controls or internal audit function) to understand the rationale and
possible mitigating controls if this is actually required. |
