One solution is with purchase info record. When the buyer buys a part
for the first time that price would be locked in purchase info record >
every time he creates a PO, the PO takes p[rice from the purchase info
record (Material/vendor combination). If there is a price increase the
buyer cannot create a PO unless the increased price is updated in the
purchase info record. So in this way you will have a control on the
price increase and no price hike can enter the system with approval from
authorized team/manager

I am not sure if this answers your concern.

Subject: Define Email to Buyer When There is a Price Variance

Hi,

Let me see, you are a producer (or agent) and your process is: you get
PO from buyer via Internet/E-mail when one of the thing that can happen and
has to be cared for is if the price go up more then X $ you have to inform
him, right?

Write back and confirm so I can suggest a solution.
