Subject: DB2 Backup and restore to new Hardware

I have done the OS, SAP exe's and data using smitty savevg in Aix.
DB2 start and stop works well, but when i startsap i get the following message
"DB not activated" cannot connect to database. I have changed all admin passwords using dscdb6up and in the OS as well, without any success.
ANY suggestions welcome!! I have done this many times before without any problems.
