I suspect you're trying to create a primary cost element without that cost element being in the chart of accounts in the G/L. If this is so, you have to do one of two things: either add the account to the FI chart of accounts, or, make the cost element a secondary cost element. Secondary cost elements do not have a corresponding G/L account. Lou
