For your understanding..Co object is part of Controlling, where it helps to draw internal reporting and decision making.
In your case, please check with your superior or any senior person in finance department for sure they only can guide you, because co object definitions are depending on company's requirement. Only people from your department or any of your SAP FI support persons would be knowing this
