Reply from David Slocum on Mar 24 at 8:15 AM My guess would be that the field this value is stored in is only 4 bytes long, or 32 bits. So the maximum value that could possibly be stored in this field is 2,147,483,647. It is physically impossible to store a larger value in this field. If you attempt to do so I would guess you would either get an error message preventing you from doing it, or you would get unpredictable results.

I know that the maximum value of IF_ROW_BATCH_NUM is 2147483647 which is (2^31-1). Can anybody tell me, 1. What happens if we give IF_ROW_BATCH_NUM value more that this max limit? 2. How it is derived that the value is (2^31-1)? Is there any reason behind this value? Thank you | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
