For if the months are on close position, the system will not accept posting
into closed periods.,

First of all it is a TEST run but not TEXT run please !!
- It depends on how you configured the system to post depreciation (periodically/quarterly/half yearly)
- At times you run depreciation only you can give one period of time..there is no provision to run range of periods ..when you run 'Planned posting run'
- If you run 'Unplanned posting run' then you may run to the extent that you have entered in the 'Posting period' field ... Say suppose you run the depreciation till April (period 4) and postings happen, now you wanna run for June (period 6) then system will include period 5 depreciation and post it in to period 6
