The transaction ZVR02S that you are referring to is a custom transaction built by your company. Folks on here might bleakly understand what it is doing but, may not be able to understand exactly what is does.
However, since you have a custom transaction, you can work with the IT in your company to design another custom (Z) transaction that will identify all the sales order with the same material on different line items and club them together.

Our company uses SAP to load sales orders and then shipping picks the units to ship. We have recently run into an issue where users are posting the same product for different quantities as separate line items and then it is a real pain when shipping has to pick these units.
Would there be a way for us to merge the line items together if they are not yet shipped making it easier for shipping to put pallets together?
If there is a way, please be specific with answer as I am fairly new to SAP.
