Reply from Ron Roberts on Feb 24 at 2:20 PM You have told SAP to start depreciating using half-year method, so a February addition is depreciating from the beginning of the year. Since you did not run January depreciation until after the February acquisition was booked, SAP began depreciating this asset in January. Typically, your January depreciation run would have been executed before the February asset was added, so February depreciation would have included two months of depreciation. Curious though that asset has an April 1 2015 depreciation start date. My answer assumes a calendar year fiscal year. Do you use something different?

Thanks for your help in advance! I have got an issue recently, depreciation job has run on 02/02/2015 for January period but an asset which was capitalized on 02/02/2015 also picked up by the job and depreciation posted for the asset for January period. It looks odd for me , how an SAP picks the asset of future period for depreciation posting. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
