Reply from ksolutions on Feb 22 at 8:09 PM Mark, Thanks for your input. Below option might work for scenarios where less than case picking is the norm and there is no batch expiration date cust requirements. Our scenario is high volume picking with 50 % chance of both [less than case] and [case Qty]. Ideally, one would like to have the two bins in the pick area next to each other after replenishment based on delivery.(Batch is determined in the delivery). User exit during TO creation is the only way to force the correct bin based on Qty. There might be standard options to handle this in EWM, but have not seen anything in SAP WM. Would like to hear the groups expertise. Thanks, -SK

We pick from bulk when the control qty is breached. We have set Full qty removal on the bulk storage type, so that the full quant is removed and no partial pallets are held there. You could set the Return Storage Type to be a different Storage Type so that your high racking remains full pallets, if required. We are not batch managed and use LP21 replen, but I'd like to think that some of the above could be options for you. Regards, Mark ---- ksolutions wrote ---- Reply from ksolutions on Feb 20 at 11:58 AM Hello Mark, Thanks for your response. Can you please clarify the following. When you receive products, do they get stored in Bulk storage type? Or is this in addition to High Rack storage? Do you pick both Full Pallet and Full Case from Bulk? Does this not lead to partial Pallets remaining in Bulk? Do you only run fixed bin replenishment? Note: Our products are batch managed. We currently do not pick from High Racks. Only from the replenished Floor level Bins. I agree with you that strategy M: According to Qty might suit this requirement.
