I have experience with blocking the change to a PR after release, it is a very good idea. However, I would suggest NOT doing it for POs, at least not without careful consideration. You would not be able to make small changes to the quantity, dates, price, etc. It could cause a lot of problems with receiving and AP. I realize that it should not happen once the PO is released, but, in my experience at least, it happens. A lot.

How to grey out the PR screen after the PR is released?

After PR approved by Final Approve, do not allow anyone to amend in ME52N.
I Checked the configuration under Purchase requisition for Define Screen Layout at Document Level but there is no option to select based on status of PR. What other way can the screen be controlled based on PR status?
