Reply from LCC352 on Jan 9 at 10:31 AM Hi, Kalyani - yes, I understood that - it's why the BDC needs to be called one at a time and not fed all at once. And yes, I understand that the screens will be different, with different fields appearing. My questions are: - How does SAP know what screen/set of fields it should use? Is it Just by field values? OR - Is it a different transaction for each country? I'm guessing it's one or several values that set up the screen properly, very similar to several other transactions in SAP. Call Transaction, which is a form of BDC, would allow you to deal with multiple record types in the incoming file. Each record in the file would be processed completely BEFORE the next BDC was assembled. The data for one record is assembled, the transaction is called, the screens behind the scene react accordingly, the record is processed, and control returns to the program for the next record. Has anyone in your shop done that type of coding or have they just assembled one BDC session and relinquished control to the batch? By the way, I'm a rep for WinShuttle. Great product, but a very high-level LSMW, along with many other features. Lou

Hi All, My requirement is to override the Payroll area value defaulted using Feature. We don't want to use the value defaulted by the feature and would be passing different value for payroll area during mass upload of infotype 1. I am using function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION for mass upload but during upload it takes feature defaulted value instead of the value passed in the load file. Is there any way to override the value defaulted by ABKRS feature? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kalyani | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
