Reply from robert_calimares on Dec 29 at 7:20 AM Hello guys, I've found this link in SCN: http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/Basis/Memory+ parameters+for+SAP+on++64+bit+Windows That says: If you use parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE in the instance profile then these parameters are calculated automatically. em/max_size_MB; em/address_space_MB; ztta/roll_first; ztta/roll_area; ztta/roll_extension; abap/heap_area_dia; abap/heap_area_nondia; abap/heap_area_total; rdisp/ROLL_MAXFS; rdisp/ROLL_SHM; rdisp/PG_MAXFS; rdisp/PG_SHM. However if any of these parameters are set in the instance profile then the instance profile value is used. So i've checked the parameters and discover that one colleague modified the instance profile, adding the parameters: rdisp/ROLL_MAXFS rdisp/ROLL_SHM rdisp/PG_MAXFS rdisp/PG_SHM So I deleted them and restarted the instance. Now SAP is going too slow! I don't know which parameters did you referring to :-( Thanks -Robert-

This is my first question, so I wish that i'm doing it correctly. We've increased the RAM of our Windows server from 16GB to 32 GB in which we have installed Solution Manager 7.1 SPS12. We've configured the parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE to "60%" value, but server is only using 16 GB. Is there other parameter that I'm forgetting to check? Is the first time I have the need to change memory parameters. Thanks in advance. -Robert- | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | In the Spotlight Become a blogger at Toolbox.com and share your expertise with the community.
