Question from Ian_ni on Oct 21 at 4:25 AM I am trying to connect a VM to our central SLD on solution manager using smdsetup.
I have run the smdsetup managingconf and the smdsetup sldconf commands but am getting the following error in the supportlogs from the VM:

!!ERROR!! cannot load the agent instance properties NOT FOUND!
*) JDK in profile : NOT FOUND!
WARNING: Open issue
Cause : JVM path specified in agent instance profile is not a JDK.
Resolution: Diagnostics agent can be run only on JDK version (not JRE).
*) Java Home : /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/exe/sapjvm_6/jre
WARNING: Open issue
Cause : JVM path specified in agent instance profile is different of JVM used in smdsetup script.
Resolution: Check the JVM path in profile and update if necessary.
I have attempted changing to user daaadm and setting JAVA_HOME=/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/exe/sapjvm_6 and restarting the instance. However, when I run the command ./smdsetup.sh I can see that the VM properties for JAVA_HOME have not changed and are still pointing to /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/exe/sapjvm_6/jre.
When I then check the solman_setup -> system preparations -> step 6.6 Connect Diagnostics Agent I can see the VM appearing in the list of agents available in the SLD but it not connecting, it sits on 'pending for a long time then eventually switches to 'connection failure'
How can I resolve this? Any help would be great thanks.
