The Storage type level material master data (table MLGT) are almost only important for storage types with strategy F – fixed BIN.
The putaway strategy 'I' – Addition to stock – requires also the use of Capacity check ! And if You have different BIN sizes, You can also not use the simplest cap.chk.
This means a lot of masterdata, capacity usage/material and total capacity/BIN – at the same time, You are not allowed to have mixed storage in the BINs.
I think my proposal would be to have 2 storage types, '001' ('picking') and '002' ('main storage') , 001 with putwy strategy 'F' and 002 with strategy 'L'
In sttp. 002, I would have 3 or more Storage sections – 1 stor.sec. for each BIN size.
I would sort the materials according to physical size and determine which BINs (= which storage section) would be most appropriate,
Then enter the max. qty fitting into the appropriate BIN/section into LE qty 1 (WM2 view)
Create Storage section search access sequences according to desired BIN size and update materials with Stor.sec.indicator.
In sttp. 001 with fixed BINs, I would create Storage type level material master data (table MLGT) for both max. qty./min.qty./replenish qty. and set up automated replenishment (running RLLNACH1 in batchjob) or run manually (transaction LP21)

How does 'SUT Check Active' work in SAP WM storage type? Does Storage unit management should be activated 'SUT check active' option to be used? Please let me know.
We do not want to use storage units functionality.
We have a requirement to do putaway based on quantity (number of pieces) in storage bin. Each material should have fixed bin assigned with LE quantity specified. Putaway process should fill the fixed bin up to maximum quantity (LE quantity). Please note there will not be a scenario where transfer order needs to be split. If fixed bin is full, then putaway strategy should assign another empty bin which can only hold certain capacity (capacity ie number of pieces). If fixed bin becomes empty, no other material should occupy this bin except the material assigned to this bin.
What would be the solution? What is the required configuration?
