I am trying to configure variant configuration. The web has very colorful and great examples of variant configuration. The Problem am having with my case is that the super bom is being created by adding up values from material variants. Obviously, these variants are in the millions. It's always a problem to use your date of birth as a password.
These part numbers are just characteristic values of the various products simply conjoined together to make the smart FERT super BOM part number. I can get a very wrong smart part number depending on concatenation of different values of the characteristics. For example if the car series is BMW750LI, tires 350michelin, windows 500bulletproof, Inside 340leather, Trailer, Null. HeadrestDVD, Null. BMW750LI could come in red, beige, blue and 350michelin might have multiple values such as TB, UT, TR. So on soo forth. The final smart part number of the super BOM could look like RED+TB+WIN5+BF2+LEATHER67++++.
How do you create logic to solve this dynamic material whatever variant is possible?
Variant tables, Dependency net, Constraints. Where do I control this smart BOM number that is created for I cannot proceed without figuring out this configurable material smart part number or do I tell my client to forget solving this logic with variant configuration. If there is a function module to handle this smart BOM material number, which is it?
