Good Day

Only an SMTP server is needed, to relay outbound email from SAP (it must 'allow' the relay from the SAP hosts). Which SMTP server you use (MS-Exchange or whatever) does not matter. For each SAP user, configure their SAP user email value to be the same value as their corporate email address. I assume that your users already use an email client like MS-Outlook or Thunderbird, not the SAP Inbox for receiving email. Users can send outbound from SAP while return emails are routed to MS-Outlook/ Thunderbird/ other email client.

Subject: SMTP Configuration In SCOT

Hi Gurus,

I want to configure the E-mail configuration in my SAP. For that I had made
the changes in RZ10 (Set the icm/server_port_1 parameter value : PROT=SMTP,
PORT=587 (my Rediff port), TIMEOUT=180) and after that I had configured the
SMTP configuration in my sap.
My question is do you think I have required the third party software or
exchange server for Email communication?
Secondly should I use my existing mail server for the communication.
Should I need to configure the same SMTP setting at all user..

And what are the other things need to be done????

Sir @ I will personally Oblige to you for this
