SAP have replied with the following:
Actually there is no way to unlock them i one go.
Each document needs to be unlocked one by one.
As you say that the user do not exist anymore to check the
documents the check-out lock needs to be undone
Thefore you need an user that has got the authorization object S_IWB
with ACTVT: 95 (unlock)
With that user navigate to the document in the project and select the
document and press the attributes button. (confirm the popup that
tells you that the document is locked and opened in dispaly mode)
In the attributes popup you should then see a button with an open lock
symbol and the text Check-out.
Press this button and the check-out lock will be removed. (the
check-out is undone)
The easiest way to find these documents is to use SOLAR_EVAL.
In SOLAR_EVAL use reprort: Project -> Configuration -> Assignments ->
Documentation
Into the field 'Project' enter you project ID
At 'Check-In Status' make sure that ONLY 'Checked-Out' is selected (as
we want to see only the documents that are checked out)
Make sure that in section 'Tabs' all tabs are selected.
-> Execute
The result list should display the documents which are checked out.
With a double click on a document you are tranferred to SOLAR02 to
that document where you can unlock it as described above.

Hi,
We have a problem where large company, "A" has split into two companies "A" and "B".
We have performed a fresh install of Solution Manager 7.1 for company "B" and now want to create a transport request for the project documentation from Company "A" Solution Manager system.
We have been successful with one project but have come across a problem where documents have been checked out and never checked in again. A lot of these go back 5+ years, and the people do not exist in the system anymore. We are unable to create a Transport for the project because some documents have been checked out.
Is there a solution to mass check in all checked out documents? or is there a way to create the transport request ignoring the checked out Documents?
