Hi Asad,

1.It is not possible to archive all objects

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/b8/1c c041e01e6624e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

2.We can archive all the objects into archive file server and u can use sessions
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/8d/3e 4ec2462a11d189000000e8323d3a/content.htm

3.Archive files are compressed during the archive write job at the archive file level and can also be compressed by the storage provider. The archive files are also encrypted so that you can only read the archive files from the SAP system in which they were archived from.

Ram

Subject: Upgrade SAP Oracle 10g to 11g On Oracle Dataguard Activated Server

Hi all,

We recently upgraded SAP R/3 4.7 ext 200 Oracle 10g to 11g on production server and now plan to upgrade the DR server which is running on 10g. Is there a possibility to upgrade Oracle directly as how its being done on production server? Reason being upgrade will not run fundamentally if the database is not open which in this case DR which is on Oracle dataguard is only or standby database mode.

Please advise and I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers!
