how many table entries are on the screen when this ALV grid appears? If you have thousand and thousand of records, this could be quite normal as all this data is in memory and it needs to sort a big bunch of records. in such as case, an SQL trace won't show you anything if you trace AFTER the data has been shown on the first screen.

Hi Experts,
Our users facing some problem regarding Speed issue. After getting an alv report, when they are sorting it, it is taking so long time. On that time I have checked in SM50 , it is showing the program SAPLSLVC_DIALOG is running. After finishing the WP, I have checked it STAD, it showing processing time high (about 95% of total time). Do you have any idea regarding this? Please help me.
