I have checked that RFC connection ( this RFC connection is used by the DB13 jobs ), but how can I make use of it, to run my job.

I wish to run a background Job on the DB server in a distributed system, where DB resides at a different host than other application servers. The DB server does not have any work processes.
Background Job is an external program, whch will run every weekend.
brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t all -f collect
I understand, that same, is achieved by DB13 jobs by using RFC to the standalone gateway or the gateway used by the DB host. Also, these jobs have elaborate reports written for them, and not specifically an external command.
Any idea will be welcome.
