There is no Standard solution for opening/closing 3 period intervals.
There is a functionality to have 3 posting period intervals if you are activating FIN_GL_CL_1+2 services using EhP4 in ECC 6 but this Third period is only to control CO postings to FI. (New period block T-Code: FAGL_EHP4_T001B_COFI).
