I think that you'll find that Open Storage Types will dictate the specific
SUM that has to be picked whereas Block will not. Block only selects the
Bin to pick from. Open is much easier for put-away since all SU Types can
be configured to be allowed in the same Bin Type. Block Storage Types make
mixing different SUT's quite a challenge.

Subject: Correct Management of an External System

Hi Gurus,

I have a warehouse mapped as an external system (partner number) linked via Ale in omky.I would send to this system a transfer order with the entire request (in pieces) to pick ( without specify storage unit) with idoc message type WMTORD and I would like to receive back confirmations of transfer order with the indication of storage unit the external system decide to pick based upon its own strategy . What should I do to manage correctly the requirement? Is it necessary to use block storage - put away strategy B bulk storage - for the storage type of the external warehouse?
Thanks for your precious help.

Best Regards,

Stefano
