Make a replica of the table in which you are getting this data.
Lets say you are getting data in "A" table.
so hold data in another table lets say "HOLD_A".
HOLD_A[] = A[].
now
sort HOLD_A by char quantity in descending.
now
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES from HOLD_A comparing char quantity.
In this way you get the desired result.
