Question from khallman on Jan 31 at 3:18 PM
Looking for some assistance in working with SPC (such as through QGC1), with the following questions:

1) A way to manually update the Control Limits – currently the fields are greyed out & can only update by clicking the Control Limit Calc button.
2) A way to fix Control limits, so can created an initial chart & calc the limits. Then when close that chart (say after a week or month) & start up/activate a new chart the limits previously calc'd for that same material/plant can auto apply to the new chart.
3) What is difference between status "New" & "Active" – what changes when activate the chart? I understand the differences when complete/close a chart – the system then auto-creates a new one the next time an Insp Lot is created, but I don't see what changes after activating a new chart.
4) Is there a way to have trending rule violations to be flagged directly on the charts in QGC1, rather than having to call up the separate screen when click button for "Check Western Electric rules". Also, need the same flagging to occur on charts if points are simply out of spec (specification limits) or outside the extreme Control Limits (Avg plus/minus 3xDev). Also, the Western electric Rules appear to only be accessible through QGC1, not through QA32 charting – is there a way to have rule violations also appear/flag when chart is displayed through QA32?.
5) A way to auto-update the SPC chart in QGC1 when new data is entered through QA32 (or if auto-captured through an instrument interface) – a way to avoid the need to be constantly clicking the refresh button in QGC1.

Thanks for any assistance/suggestions on these questions.
