For Optional Holiday follow below steps.
1) Create a Holiday type. Doesn't matter if its fixed or Dynamic.
Keep the Holiday Class type as 3
2) Generate the WSR.
3) Now Create a Absence Quota as RH and Absence type as RL.
4) Generate the Leave quota as per the company policy.
5) In Table T556C counting class tick mark the Holiday Class 3.
6) In Day type Valuation maint he daytype 3 as Off and Paid.
The above are very standard methods to maintain the optional holidays.
If your are client is Using ESS to apply the OH then in ESS Configuration
you can maintain the colors.
User will easily identify which one is OH.
