Reply from sagarn on Dec 24 at 1:47 AM Hi all, Thanks a lot for all your replies and suggestions. Following are the problems we are facing for MARC table. The programs that are using this table are facing severe performance issues: 1. The table MARC is being used in the query. There are 6 to 7 indexes created on this table. 2. Everywhere this table is being used (queries, programs, standard SE16) all the selections used on this are extremely slow and result in TIME_OUT or Memory allocation error. 3. Before upgrade all these programs and queries were responding very quickly but this problem has started after upgrade. 4. The database statistics were updated for one of the programs where this table is used and the response time was reduced. 5. To reduce it further, the addition CLIENT SPECIFIED was used in the SELECT statement. Please let me know if this is the correct approach to enhance performance, because CLIENT SPECIFIED addition cannot be used in SQ01 query. In that case how can we improve the performance of queries. 6. The query is not fetching the data from MARC based on the key fields. Even if we try to fetch the data with key fields it takes a long time and gives time out. Thanks in advance. Regards, Sagar Nawathe

These queries were executing fine 2 weeks back but now they end in a TIME_OUT dump. Could anybody please let us know what could be the factors that would degrade the performance so drastically. Our system is ECC 6.0. These queries were created in 4.6C and then the system was upgraded to ECC 6.0. Thanks, Sagar Nawathe | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
