FS10N gives a lot of information and the total should correspond to the result of FBL3N.
Some question and verification are needed:
1) have you verified the layout used from both of transactions ?
if the layout you are using contains filters, the result can be different
2) do you have items archived ?
Please clarify better your question and add more details, because it is too poor to permit any clear answer
