These two companies are in same industry, but the new one will have some new sub-modules that old company code does not have, such as asset. What I worried is legal requirement for reporting. Once we change company code`s name, all the historic data will be under new company`s name.

One of our company which has company code in SAP (XX01) will be merged to a new company A we bought. So our company will be gone and new company A after merged with our company will be implemented in SAP. Is it possible that we still re-use old company code XX01?
